James Bruno
Drum instructor James Bruno has been in the music industry for over 25 years as a performer, producer engineer and composer. After graduating from music school with a degree in percussion and a minor in audio engineering, he has embarked on a long career in the music industry.
As a drummer/percussionist he has toured and performed with: Fred Parris, Leslie Gore, Bo Diddley, Little Anthony, Todd Rundgren, Jackie Mason, Acajou, Loose Change, David Ruskay, MAC, Dennis & Sharon Collins, Paul Baloche, Buddy Green, and Don Moen to name a few. Most recently he has been performing with Hi-Fi in support of their charted single "She's My Girl." James has performed in venues from Madison Square Garden and the Beacon Theater to the Bottom Line and the Triad.
As an independent producer/engineer James has worked for Swansong records (Led Zepplin, Dave Edmonds), Vonnie B., MAC, Dennis Collins, David Ruskay, Gary Lefkowith, The Carriage House Studios, working with Rick Derringer, Meatloaf, Bill Schineman (Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, The Boys), and as a production assistant on the film scores for "Silver Bullet" with Gary Busey, "Invasion USA", and "Missing In Action" with Chuck Norris. He also recorded and mixed the string quartet and trumpet music for the PBS documentary film "Augustus St-Gaudens Master Of American Sculpture" by Paul G. Sanderson III.
James released his first solo CD "This Is The Life" in Dec 2008, on The Underground Music Group label.
